November To-Do List

Posted 2019 Jun by Thread Wallets / #lifestyle

As a Utah based company, November is a funny month for us. Halloween festivities have been wrapped up and the ski resorts are still gearing up for the months of snow ahead. And for most, the decision of when to officially start celebrating Christmas is a daunting one. If you're looking for the perfect November activity (that isn't holiday themed), we've compiled a list of five of our favorite things to do either on cold days where you can see your breath or warmer days where you're questioning your decision to put on a sweater and beanie when you got ready for the day.

    1. Heart and Seoul Karaoke
We all have our "Hannah Montana moments" where we wish we had a pop-star alter ego. Heart and Seol Karaoke lets that alter ego come out and it is the best! Located on Center Street in Provo, Utah Heart and Seoul offers great entertainment at a good price. Too scared to sing in front of a crowd? Reserve one of their private rooms for you and your closest friends.

    2. Get Out Games
If you haven't tried an escape room before, you need to change that! They sound a little cliche but they are a riot. With locations in Salt Lake City and Provo, you don't have to go far for a ton of fun. If you're up for it, we recommend the Zombie on the Chain room. It's more interactive and way more stressful. It's the perfect activity if you're looking for something to do any night of the week.

    3. Redford Film Series at Sundance Mountain Resort
We are obsessed with all things Sundance. Growing up 15 minutes from the base has made it a second home to many of us here at Thread. What's cozier than watching A River Runs Through It, Jeremiah Johnson, or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid at Robert Redford's private screening room? All screenings are complimentary to the public and Sundance Mountain Resort lodging guests. No reservations or tickets are required. Seating is first come, first serve.

    4. The Leonardo After Dark: Hygge Night
Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah) is the Danish word that embodies a feeling or moment of complete coziness and charm. While hygge is about comfort and enjoying oneself, it doesn’t mean going all-out and overindulging. This night will be laid back and fun, with light drinks to see you through the evening, and plenty of snacks for grazing. With plenty of DIY activities and workshops to get you ready for the upcoming Holiday season, this is an event you won't want to miss. So, grab your best sweater, loved ones, and get ready to lounge at The Leonardo.

    5. Top Golf
We would argue that Top Golf is one of the best ways to spend an evening with friends or family. It's the coolest golf entertainment complex where the competition of sport meets your favorite local hangout. If you're not a big fan of golf but you are a big fan of fun, give this place a try. With food, friends, and a little competition, your night at Top Golf may become one of the best nights of your holiday season.

Of course, we recognize that money can get tight around the holiday season so, if you're looking for something to do that won't break the bank, skip Get Out Games and go outside for a walk.
