Threadhead: Kylie Bronk

Posted 2019 Jun by Lauren Turley

For this week's interview, we got to catch up with Kylie Bronk, an amazing dancer, and choreographer from Utah. She's driven, hard-working, and hot as hell. Read on to see why we love her!

What's your story?

Born and raised in Utah, started dancing at 2 1/2 years old and I've been dancing ever since. I met some people who introduced me to hip hop and I fell in love with the culture and the art form of it. Now I like to jump back and forth between choreographer and performer and I think what I love about it is that dance has always been the vehicle for me to meet amazing people and connect with them. The dance industry itself is pretty brutal and I've had a bunch of ups and downs, but I realized I had to have the right people around me to help get me to where I am.

How were you able to branch out?

Dance is an expensive sport and my parents worked so hard to help me with it. I always knew I wanted to be a professional dancer, but until the point came where I had to actually choose this life over a 9-5 job or something else. I had to outsource, go to conventions, and reach out to people on my own. From that and the studios I was working at, my name slowly got planted until people would ask me to teach a few classes and I would always say yes. It was a lot of no sleep haha. People would always ask me how to get out of the studio and my advice would be: 1. You have to know your worth. You have to pat yourself on the back sometimes for all of the work you put in, it's just as important as taking criticism. 2. Be consistent. 3. Let yourself go and success will follow.

Do you have a big dream?

I wanna do it all. I would love to travel the world and be a creative director of some sort and also perform as well. I would also love to work with actors and other people. I'm a visionary person so I always have vision boards and some people talk about it and others are actually all about it. It's about putting in the work. The place where people are actually putting in the work for their dreams is not a crowded place and when you're able to find a team that can help you get there that's when success comes.

What are you listening to right now?

I'm a sucker for Oprah and her Soulful Sunday podcast. She always has awesome people on and it gives me the insight for how they got to where they are now. For music, right now I'm listening to Khalid who is my go-to and Beyonce's Coachella live album which is so good. I'm also a sucker for 90's R&B.

One meal you can eat for the rest of your life?

Acai bowls from the Protein Foundry in Salt Lake.

We're so stoked to have a soul has cool and creative as Kylie on our team and hope you love her as much as we do!!
