Threadhead Spotlight: Devan Holmes

For this weeks Threadhead Spotlight, we get to introduce you guys to crazy talented dancer Devan Holmes. Having already performed at cool events like the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, we're so stoked to see him go places in the future. Read ahead to find out a little bit more about him! 

"Hey, guys! My name is Devan Holmes, and I'm a professional dancer in LA. I was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up in Post Falls, Idaho. I started dancing when I was in 1st grade and fell in love instantly. I discovered real hip-hop when I was a freshman I high school and became obsessed with the culture and lifestyle. I
would always watch live performances with big artists and other underground artists and started mimicked their movement and learning techniques.

My two biggest goals in dance are to tour with a big artist like Chris Brown or Justin Timberlake, and or teach dance and share my knowledge around the globe. I like to listen to a variety of music like rap, r&b, trap, house, old school funk, jazz, piano, slow jams and etc. Some of my favorite artists are Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown, Kaytranada, Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Kendrick Lamar, Tory Lanez, 6lack, Chance the rapper, Bruno Mars and many more. I love any and all food as long as itʼs cooked right, and I LOVE Mt. Dew.

The best piece of advice I have ever gotten that has been changing my life lately would be to stop caring about what people think and focus on your priorities. And if I had one piece of advice to give, it would be to trust the process in whatever you do and know that everything happens for a reason!"
